If you’ve been hearing whispers about “big things coming” to Sandals and Beaches, I wanted to sit down and actually explain what’s happening because 2026 is going to be a huge year for both brands and I am SO EXCITED about it.
In this post we're going to go over everything coming to BEACHES resorts in 2026 and then tomorrow we'll run through the exciting things coming to Sandals so lets kick off the new year by jumping in on their family friendly brand!
First up, the brand-new Treasure Beach Village at Beaches Turks & Caicos opens March 1, 2026 and this is going to be SO INCREDIBLE.
Sandals has said this is the most money ever spent on a family resort in the Caribbean, coming in at about $1.5 million per room. That alone should tell you the level they’re aiming for.
Beaches Exuma is finally happening, too. The chain and the Bahamian government reached an agreement, and construction is set to begin in early 2026. This will start as a more boutique-style resort, focusing heavily on two- and three-bedroom Butler-level suites and water experiences that truly showcase the Exumas. It’s also expected to employ around 700 locals on an island of just 3,000 people, which is so huge for the community and really shows the heart of the brand.
Later in 2026, Beaches Runaway Bay in Jamaica will break ground. This will be a larger resort with about 450 rooms, a waterpark, and even an 18-hole Greg Norman-designed golf course.
Construction has already begun on Beaches Barbados, located on the island’s West Coast. This is a $600 million project that’s being described as something the Eastern Caribbean has never seen before: 18 restaurants, a massive gym, a large conference center, and architecture designed to feel timeless and elegant. The way it’s been described, it’s the kind of resort that ends up on the cover of Architectural Digest.
And finally, Beaches St. Vincent has secured 53 acres just a few miles from the existing resort on Mount Wynne Beach. There’s no confirmed timeline yet, but it’s officially in motion.
As of right now, only one of these projects is open for booking: The Treasure Beach Village at Beaches Turks & Caicos, opening March 1, 2026. Everything else is still in development, and I’ll keep sharing updates as they’re released!
If you’re already thinking about 2026 travel, a destination wedding, or a future family trip, i'd love to start having those conversations with you! Send me a DM and lets get the ball rolling!
I’m curious! Which of these are you most excited about?
