If you’re researching destination weddings, this is usually the question that sends people down a late-night Google spiral. And what am I here for as a travel advisor/planner If not to save you from a google spiral?:
“How much does a Sandals or Beaches wedding actually cost?”
You’ll see everything from “basically free” to “still expensive” and the truth is, neither of those answers tells the full story.
So we're going to break this down in a realistic way so you can understand what couples typically spend, what’s optional, and how this compares to a traditional wedding.

The Starting Point: The Complimentary Wedding
At both Sandals (adults-only) and Beaches (family-friendly) resorts, the base wedding package is complimentary when you meet the minimum night stay requirement (7 nights In a club or butler category room).
That means:
• No venue rental fee
• No separate ceremony cost
• Built-in planning support
For many couples, this alone eliminates one of the biggest wedding expenses they’d face at home (venues can be SO pricey and the fight over dates can be ROUGH)
So What Do Couples Actually Pay For?
While the ceremony itself can be complimentary, most couples choose to add some level of personalization ( I mean It Is after all YOUR wedding. We want to see YOU in it!)
This is where your total wedding cost comes into play.
Common wedding expenses for a Sandals/Beaches Wedding include:
• Upgraded décor collections
• Reception events (cocktail hour + reception time)
• Entertainment (DJ, MC, live musicians)
• Additional florals
• Photography and videography
• Guest count–related enhancements
The good news? Everything is à la carte, so you are ALWAYS in control.
Typical Sandals & Beaches Wedding Cost Ranges
What you should know upfront: Sandals requires a nonrefundable deposit of $250 to reserve your day and time. That $250 goes towards the government license and administrative fee set by the country that you would be getting married in.
While every wedding is different, here are the set packages as of today (Dec 22, 2025):
• Two love birds (elopement): 1 room for minimum of 3 nights $1300
• Sweetheart Wedding Package: 1-5 rooms up to 10 people for minimum of 3 nights $1000 (THIS is the package that is complimentary with 7+ nights in a butler or club level room)
Bliss Wedding Package
6-10 rooms or up to 20 guests $2500 11-20 rooms or up to 40 guests $3400 21-25 rooms or up to 50 guests $3850
Epic Wedding Package
26-35 rooms or up to 70 guests $7600
36-49 rooms or up to 98 guests $10,120
50-70 rooms or up to 140 guests $13,900
each additional adult is $90 and each additional child (2-15) $50
Even at the higher end, many couples are still spending significantly less than they would on a traditional wedding venue alone.
What Couples Are Not Paying For
This is where destination weddings at Sandals and Beaches really save a lot of money.
Couples are typically not paying separately for:
• Venue rental fees
• Staffing and coordination
• Rentals (chairs, basic décor, tables)
• Setup and breakdown
• A separate honeymoon
These costs are often hidden line items couples don't even think about until they start adding up at the end in a traditional wedding.
What About Guest Travel Costs?
This is an important distinction.
Guest travel and accommodations are not included in your wedding costs. Guests pay their own way, just like they would for any destination wedding.
However, many couples find:
• Their guest list naturally becomes more intentional
• Attendees are excited to combine a wedding with a vacation
• The overall experience feels more meaningful for everyone involved

Sandals vs. Beaches: Does Cost Change?
The main difference comes down to guest count size, family-friendly needs and the time of year.
Beaches weddings often involve larger guest lists (since kids are welcome here), which can increase enhancement costs but the foundation remains the same.
How This Compares to a Traditional Wedding
When couples compare total investment, they’re often surprised at the difference.
A traditional wedding can easily reach $25,000–$40,000+, not including the honeymoon.
With Sandals or Beaches, many couples are able to combine the wedding and honeymoon into one experience, reduce logistical stress (less people means less logistics PLUS a planner like me in your corner means you have a point person to deal with your guests issues and requests), and spend less overall while gaining more memories
Destination weddings are uniquely focused on value and intention. And tbh... thats why I LOVE them.
Final Thoughts
A Sandals or Beaches destination wedding can be incredibly affordable or beautifully elevated, all depending on the choices you make.
The flexibility is the real advantage.
If you’re trying to decide whether this type of wedding fits your vision and budget, understanding these cost ranges can help you decide which path you want to take.
And when you’re ready to explore resorts, guest counts, and realistic numbers for your situation, having the right guidance makes the process far less overwhelming.
